Workshop Overview

This goal of this workshop is to introduce participants to concepts of globalization effects in surgical education and allow attendees to explore how to effectively navigate said issues while developing and implementing curricula.

Intended Participants

Participants who are currently practicing or will be practicing within the next 1-2 years.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe challenges with developing and delivering surgical curricula in a global context
  2. Discuss the importance of the local context and how it affects educational planning, assessment of learning, and curricular success
  3. Identify and apply strategies for adapting surgical curricula to different contexts
